Keith Kyle
Keith Kyle grew up in the small town of Granite Falls, in Washington State, and has lived in the area all of his life. He and his family did a lot of camping as he was growing up, and they spent a great deal of time waterskiing on the Columbia River. Keith also enjoyed playing other sports, including baseball, basketball, and cross country.
Keith’s love of sports has stuck with him as he has grown. He is a huge Seattle Seahawks fan and a season ticket holder. His other love is motorcycles. Keith’s current toy is a 2010 Yamaha Raider. He says it has just about everything you could need, except the type of chrome wheels he wants. That’s next.
The family business has always been fire protection systems. Keith started learning his craft at a very early age, working with his dad after school and during the summers. After working through his formal apprenticeship, Keith, and his brother-in-law, Dion, became the latest generation of the fine Burns Fire Protection Systems lineage. Keith is quick to point out that the company has been in business for over 40 years now, and he is looking forward to passing it on to the next generation someday.
Dion Smith
Dion Smith was born in a small town just outside of Chicago, Illinois. He grew up riding dirt bikes, running track, and playing football. Growing up in a single-parent home with 2 siblings, a good work ethic was not just taught, it was expected. Dion always had a job. From a paper route at age 10 to the cornfields in junior high and then finally at the local grocery store throughout high school.
Despite a college offer to run track, Dion enlisted in the Marine Corps directly after graduating from high school. Here he honed the work ethic, leadership skills, and fine-tuned his goals. After an honorable discharge, Dion met and married his wife of 30 years, Kelli. They have 2 children, 1 dog, 2 cats, and 6 horses.
Dion enjoys hunting, fishing, motorcycles, and classic muscle cars. He is committed to his local community, having coached numerous youth sports throughout the little league system, and currently coaches football at the middle school. He is actively involved in his church, having served on the board of directors for four years. Any day the weather permits, he can be seen riding his Harley Davidson, Fatboy.
